Over the past 20 years, living and working in Darwin, I have grown to love the lifestyle and people here. I am passionate about my vocation as a dentist and with well over 20 years of clinical experience, have realised that it is vital that my patients feel cared for regardless of what their dental treatment need is. |
Originally from Scotland, where I was born and raised by my Chinese parents, hence the Scottish accent which can confuse some people (with the Chinese appearance). I graduated with a Batchelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Glasgow University in 1999.
I greatly believe in extensive continuing professional development and completed numerous courses throughout the years including:

As locals of Darwin, my husband and I want to serve our community by providing an excellent standard of dental care in a warm family atmosphere where everyone – patients and staff feel welcome, looked after and cared for.
Other than work and studies, I love spending quality time with my family, travelling and enjoy a lifestyle of health and fitness.

I am proud to present it to you YourSmileDental. I am orginally from London, raised from an early age in Brisbane, I then moved to the Northern Territory in 1993. I can honestly say that I have never regretted this decision and I am proud to be a Territorian.

I started my career in the hotel industry, where I gained love for working with people, found a passion for the service industry and have pursued the provision of superior customer service.
Over the past ten years, I have had an interesting career change to Risk Management and Compliance.
In 2013 we established our company Charis Management Services.

Originally from the Philippines, the Northern Territory has been my beloved home for the past 13 years. After graduating from the University of East Philippines with a Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree (2005), I worked in my own private practice for 5 years. Being a great believer in continual learning, I then went on to complete Post Graduate Training in Orthodontics and Aesthetic Dentistry and also a hospital-based Internship Programme in Oral Surgery. |
Having passed the Australian Dental Council exams, I have worked as a registered dentist in Australia for several years. I have continued on to complete the renowned Progressive Orthodontic Series training and also POS Children’s Orthodontics seminars. As well as orthodontics, I enjoy all aspects of dentistry. My goal at YourSmileDental is to provide optimum dental care for all of my patients which I believe is achieved through my passion to help people. With all of the knowledge and experience I have obtained in the dental field, I am better equipped to be able to serve my patients well.
Aside from my passion with dentistry, I devote my time to my beautiful family, my friends, enjoying life to the fullest and importantly, my faith.

I am a Darwin local and completed my entire schooling in Darwin. I have always had a passion for dentistry. When I completed year 12, I entered the dental industry working as a chair side assistant. This experience made me realise that Dentistry was definitely a career I wanted to strive towards.
I completed my first Bachelor Degree in Oral Health Therapy (OHT) at Griffith University and have worked as an Oral Health Therapist for 5 years following. |
Following the completion of my Degree in Oral Health Therapy (OHT), I have now completed my Bachelor of Dental Surgery at James Cook University.
Dentistry has provided me with such unique and challenging experiences both here in Australia and overseas. I was fortunate enough to spend 5 months working in the Torres Strait Islands in far north Queensland. Following this experience, I spent a month working in the Solomon Islands, working in both Auki (capital of the Malaita Province) and in the remote village of Atoifi. All these communities are extremely under serviced by medical and dental practitioners, which was extremely eye opening and challenging at times.
I believe I can provide my patients at YourSmileDental with the highest standard of personalised care.
Outside of my passion for dentistry, I am a very keen cricketer, fisherman and love the lifestyle that comes with the Territory.

Born and raised in the Northern Territory, I moved to Queensland in the early 2000s to complete my tertiary studies. After completing my Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Technology and Master of Dental Technology in Prosthetics at Griffith University QLD, I worked as a Dental Technician and Prosthetist on the Gold Coast, Hervey and Darwin.
Wanting to be more proactive in preventing oral disease and improving oral health I decided to return to University and completed a Bachelor of Oral Health with Distinction at Central QLD University. |
I am passionate about working with children and providing a gentle approach to oral health services. I can provide dental services to all ages (Adult Scope), from providing preventive care, managing periodontal disease (gum disease), teeth restorations to whitening.

Originally from the Philippines, I moved to Broome at a very young age and have lived there most of my life (over 16 years).
I have always had a keen interest in the dental health field and moved to Perth for University where I studied Bachelor of Oral Health Therapy at Curtin University and recently completed it. I worked as a dental assistant throughout my studies and I thoroughly enjoy working in the dental industry. |
I am passionate about preventative dentistry and value patient comfort. I love working with children and helping them understand the importance of oral health. I have a keen interest in the new dental technology available nowadays to help provide my patients with the best care.
In my down time I love going to the beach, fishing and spending time with my family. I play Netball and volleyball when I enjoy learning new sports.
I’m still exploring the Darwin and always keen to try new things, so don’t hold back in giving me tips for things I must see or do!
