Dental Sealants (Fissure) – 1-year Warranty
Fissure sealants will be repaired or replaced at no extra cost to the patient.
What is Covered: Breaking, chipping or wear of sealant.
Composite fillings will be replaced or repaired at no extra cost to the patient.
What is Covered: Breaking, chipping, wear or loss of the filling.
Note: If the tooth breaks (within the warranty period) and requires a crown or inlay/onlay the cost of the filling will be discounted from the cost of the crown or inlay/onlay.
The crown, bridge, inlay/onlay will be repaired or replaced at no extra cost to the patient. If there is Private Health Fund (with dental cover), the health fund portion will be paid and there will be no out of pocket expense. If the crown cannot be repaired or replaced, it may be an option to be refunded the out of pocket expense for the original treatment.
What is Covered: Breaking, chipping or wear of crown – 5 years. Recementing of crown within 3 years.
What is not Covered: Loss of the crown, bridge, inlay/onlay.
Note: If the inlay/onlay is damaged and a full crown is required, the cost of the inlay/onlay will be discounted from the cost of the crown (if the crown is done within the warranty period).
Porcelain Veneers – 5-year Warranty
The replacement or repair of the veneer will be at no extra cost to the patient. If there is Private Health Fund (with dental cover), the health fund portion will be paid and there will be no out of pocket expense. If the veneer cannot be repaired or replaced, it may be an option to be refunded the out of pocket expense for the original treatment.
What is Covered: – Breaking, chipping or wear of veneer – 5 years. Recementation within 3 years.
What is not Covered: Loss of the veneer.
Note: If the veneer and tooth is damaged so that a full crown is required, the cost of the original veneer will be discounted off the cost of a crown (if the crown is done within the warranty period).
Dental Implants – 5-Year Warranty
Replacement of the implant/implant crown or repair the implant crown/bridge at no extra cost to the patient. If there is Private Health Fund (with dental cover), the health fund portion will be paid and there will be no out of pocket expense. If the implant/implant crown/bridge cannot be replaced or implant crown/bridge cannot be repaired, it may be an option to be refunded the out of pocket expense for the original treatment.
What is Covered: Breaking, chipping or wear of implant crown. Recementing or re-screwing implant crown/bridge. Failure of implant to integrate with the bone. Fracture of implant or abutment.
Note: Smokers are to totally cease smoking 2 weeks prior and 8 weeks after implant placement. If the implant fails (has to be removed within 12 months of placement) and the patient has not ceased smoking for the required duration, the patient is required to pay additional costs for the removal and subsequent placement of another implant (after required period of healing).
Dentures – Full/Partial Acrylic or Chrome Base/Acrylic – 1-Year Warranty
The denture will be repaired/replaced at no extra cost to the patient. If there is Private Health Fund (with dental cover), the health fund portion will be paid and there will be no out of pocket expense.
If the denture cannot be repaired or replaced, it may be an option to be refunded the out of pocket expense for the original treatment.
What is not covered under Warranty
Any failures caused by biological or behavioural failures
Including decay/gum disease/ underlying general health issues resulting in failure
Heavy / strong bite causing excessive forces
Unsupported bite (such as missing teeth)
Teeth grinding / clenching habits
Cessation of smoking requirements for implants
Other
Patient Responsibility (Failure to comply will Void the Warranty)
All other dental treatment completed on the treatment plan
Attend Active Maintenance appointments (minimum every 6 months unless otherwise stated) and have any other recommended examinations and X-Rays.
